Spring-Summer 2016 favorites: Playsuits & Jumpsuits

by - 9:15 PM

For the first time in my 24 years of existence, I'm finally fortunate enough to experience Spring. As a Filipino, my lifetime only consisted of the dry & cold season. So lo and behold, I now have an excuse to create a new series — the Spring-Summer 2016 favorites. The series will consist of everything fashion, beauty, lifestyle-related, etc. that I'm currently loving in this lovely season.

For my series opener, I present to you one of my favorite go-to outfits for not only Summer but also Spring! Here I'm featuring (as stated in the title) Jumpsuits/Playsuits which are very versatile (in my opinion), you just either dress it up or down. I also find these style of clothing very comfortable and feel that I'm never restricted to move. Sometimes, we dress up to look visually pleasing but really, it's always about comfort. There's a lot to love about these one-piece style of clothing however, we can't neglect the downside. Yes, it's a pain in the bum whenever you're wearing these but then you have to pee. LOL. It's the only flaw I find in wearing such clothing, which I honestly don't mind at all at most times. So there you have it! That's my reasoning for featuring these two and as to why these one-piece style of clothing will always have a special place in my heart (fashion-wise). Teehee!

A little thing to note as well if you're confused as to both's differences, in fashion world, you can notice that Playsuits are shorter in length (like shorts) while Jumpsuits are obviously longer in length (like pants). I googled the definition, won't help. LOL. If you want a clear imagery, just look at the images. ;)

Anyways, here are snaps that my lovely husband took of me:
I love you, baby! Thank you. <3

Some of you might recognize this playsuit and you've guessed it correctly, it legit looks like the At First Sight playsuit from Australian designer Alice McCall. I'm definitely sure it's not the real playsuit since I got it for $15 AUD. I also don't know if  it's a knock-off because I bought it second-hand off someone from Brisbane. Regardless of it's origin & price tag, I am absolutely inlove with it! Can't wait to rock it on a real holiday — I'm thinking Maldives? Ha! — I can keep on dreaming.

Unfortunately, I can't find it on her website but I did find it on a designer hire website here in Australia. Just click me. Hope that helps! :)

The jumpsuit above is from Mooloola (as the tag says). I again bought it second-hand since your girl can't afford or isn't interested in buying brand-new clothes majority of the time. As for this beautiful and completely accurate jumpsuit given my height (insert self-pity here), I've already worn it during Ellie Goulding's concert. I was completely feeling hippie and cool wearing this whilst feeling free to dance and wiggle around the crowd. I also didn't freeze on that cold Spring night regardless of not bringing any outerwear. I did have to pee once and it was a bit annoying but overall the comfort and style made up for it.

I honestly don't know where you can buy this but give it a try here: click me.

My face ^ being currently on my element. LOL.

This post has finally come to an end dear readers. I though am flooded with ideas on what I'm going to feature next for this series. I'm honestly more keen than any of you, if any of you actually read my blog. Ha! I was also thinking that I might dedicate a post about where I find bargains and discuss about the whole designer hiring companies which is big in Australia and I'll be throwing in some tips applicable for the Philippines as well. We'll see. ;) Can't wait to bring more content and produce quality posts. And as always,

Love,
