A blog by Kirsty Enriquez

Alas, I am back after my 2-year hiatus! I honestly thought that I would be leaving blogging altogether but my passion for sharing my stories online never seem to dissipate.

Now where do I start? I guess in reflection to my previous posts, I am happy to share that I finally am working in my dream career which is in Human Resources. We've also recently (by recently I mean last year) moved to a more spacious townhouse which allowed me to claim a spare bedroom and transform it into my own space — the Lady Cave (O K A Y). Kidding aside, I'm very happy to carefully curate and slowly transform this space into my own. It is indeed an embodiment of everything that I would like to be surrounded with and inspired by. However, even if I know for a fact that this room is a never-ending decor series, I am utterly content and extremely satisfied of everything that I have done at this point in time.

Anyways, enough with the word vomit. Hopefully you revel on these photos that I took and the important little details that make this room uniquely ME.

Confession: This whole room took two months to put together and I'm honestly proud of how everything turned out.

I have always believed that if you have a clean and clutter-free space, you will most likely have a clutter-free/peaceful mind. It was very important for me to fill the room with a lot of pieces that will encourage and inspire me to create content that I resonate with.

A clothing rack is no-brainer a must-have for me. If you have been an avid reader, I've featured this item in previous posts as well. It is obviously not only a favourite but definitely a staple!

I did some research and ended up with this Ikea clothing rack.
You can also adjust the length of the rack to your preferred height.

I also think these brushes need a clean. Yikes!

Majority of the furniture/decor pieces were purchased from Ikea, Fantastic Furniture & Kmart.

For specific questions on any of the photographed items, please feel free to comment down below or send me a personal message & I'd be more than happy to answer your query. :)

I've also added a few photos of how I organised some key areas in this room. I'd be more than willing to share these tips & tricks on another blog post so definitely stay tuned! I have also started posting items that are for sale on my Carousell account so click me if you would like to check it out!

Aaand that's a wrap folks! A huge thank you if you've made it this far. I certainly won't make promises but I'll do my best to commit to a more consistent posting schedule moving forward. In the meantime, make sure to follow my Instagram account for updates, etc. just click here!

Disclaimer: I am in no way shape or form bragging or showing off, I am just completely happy to share my accomplishment and some helpful tips/inspiration to my beloved readers. Lastly, this blog post does not hold any sponsorships nor am I affiliated with any of the brands mentioned.

Until next time...

Love,

The Spring and Summer season finally bid Australia Adieu. Despite the weather still getting confused of whether it wants to be hot & humid / cold & breezy, I decided it's high time to create a Fall - Winter look-book. Speaking of look-books, I made an account and thought if you guys are interested to see details of my look, this is the place to go: click me.

Sorry for getting sidetracked. LOL. As I was saying, this blog post encompasses 4 looks that are potential cold season staples. The major staple being the mom jeans that you will see in each look. That's actually where the inspiration sprouted after I acquired these jeans. I'm not really a pant/jean-type of person because I rather wear one pieces rather than separates. Unfortunately, dresses, playsuits and jumpsuits aren't appropriate for the cold weather in Brisbane so I had to invest on a good pair of non-resticting and comfortable long bottoms thus after much deliberation, I bought mom jeans.

For those who aren't really into fashion but still clicked on this post, here's a little fun fact for you:
Mom Jeans is a term for a type of woman's jeans popularised in the 1980s which are considered to be unfashionable and unflattering to the wearer. It went out of trend in the early 2000s but are now obviously back and better than ever. Fashion bloggers all over the world got into the hype a few years back (I know, I'm very late) and made it more fashionable and a bit more flattering to the eyes.

The term is honestly hilarious but a bit bothersome. All our moms definitely owned and rocked these jeans. However, I'm not into the idea of people calling this supposedly unflattering jeans the "mom jeans". It depicts a representation that just because you embrace motherhood, you forget to tend to your physical needs, IMO. It sucks because moms are always fabulous no matter what.

I promise I'm putting a stop to all this word vomit. So ladies, moms and gents, enjoy this Fall - Winter 2017 lookbook:
